Hearing and Audiology Questions

What is an audiologist?
Audiologists are professionals who specialize in non-medical evaluation and rehabilitation services to people with hearing loss.

How do I know if I have hearing loss?
Hearing loss usually develops gradually, and it’s not always easy to determine if you are experiencing it. Often, people ultimately discover their hearing loss from the reaction of friends or family members. If hearing loss is suspected, an audiologic evaluation will determine the type and degree of loss and determine how we can help.

How do I book a hearing test?
Hearing tests are provided for any patient seen in consultation by Dr. Tietze. These tests are covered by OHIP.  We are not able to accommodate walk-ins at this time.

How do I obtain hearing aids?
Hearing aids are available to be fitted and purchased on site for the convenience of Dr. Tietze’s patients.
